The older
trees, the lake, and the natural habitat in the easements around Sylvan Lake help
make where we live a delight to so many of us. The Red-tailed Hawk family that
has nested around the lake for the several years and a Great Horned Owl family
appreciate it too! Here's a list of 128 species of birds that have been
seen at or flying above Sylvan Lake over the last 18 years. It's followed
by a list of another 23 that have been seen within five miles, making it 138
species for our immediate area.
